Crafting a Distinct Maker Atmosphere through an Ultra Factory Concept

Inspired by the concept of “Ultra Factory,” the design cultivates a makerspace-like environment that encourages students to create unique and expressive works. By incorporating areas of high-saturation blue, the design adds visual vibrancy while softening the typically sterile impression associated with laboratory spaces. Transparent corrugated panels and metallic materials enhance brightness and visual tension within the classroom, creating a professional yet comfortable setting that aligns with the spirit of hands-on craftsmanship.




Design analysis

  1. Shape the overall classroom atmosphere with a “super makerspace” concept to strengthen students’ engagement.

  2. Introduce bright, uniform lighting to improve the learning environment and enhance safety when operating equipment.

  3. Clarify spatial zoning and add partitions to optimize circulation and equipment-use workflows.

  4. Apply open-source modular design to guide students in building their own classroom stools, embodying the maker spirit of learning by doing.
