Yunlin County ShanFeng Waldorf School

Parade platform and tracks are common features found on all traditional campuses, which have become awkward existences today as many schools are proactively abandoning the old authoritarian methods of education. Wooyo, the design team in charge of the renovation, redesigned ShanFeng Waldorf School’s unused parade platform with the imagery of crested serpent eagle commonly found in nearby area, and added to it retractable canvas wings to expand the shaded area; also, Wooyo combined rock climbing, slope, and curtains to turn the parade platform into a place for students to rest and play, and for school to hold outdoor classes.
